The Malaysian Red Crescent (MRC), is a voluntary humanitarian organization that seeks to promote humanitarian values, as well as provide service and public education in disaster management, as well as healthcare in the community. It is part of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent.

The Training Department of Malaysian Red Crescent Society, Kuala Lumpur Branch (hereinafter “BSMMKL”) commitment to continuous improvement and sustainable development of our community towards emergency resilient nations by focusing on delivering an exceptional services and training in First Aid and Emergency training. Through collaboration of experienced medical, health and emergency practitioners, BSMMKL inclusive of a wide network of professional and associated resources, provides a sustainable solutions to create an emergency resilient culture for Kuala Lumpur communities as a whole.

BSMMKL is the registered training provider as we registered as training vendor to HRDF(Human Resources Development Fund) since year 2019. We are committed to give full support to Pembangunan Sumber Manusia Berhad (PSMB) to achieve their missions which are in line with our nation’s New Economic Model to develop high quality workforce and to be a high income economy in the coming decades

TRAINING DESCRIPTION

The proposed First Aid trainings registered under HRDF claimable courses are based on thelearning modules developed by Malaysia Red Crescent (MRC). Training sessions will becomprised of both in-house lecturers and interactive activities that will specially designed tointroduce trainees to the duties and responsibility of first aiders from different industriesbackground. Each of the training outline are summarized as below:
This module consists 8 hours (1 day training) of training modules with competency examination at the end of the training program
Objective to the Training Upon completion of the training, participants will be able to:
▪ Understand the first aid principle
▪ Recognize different common types of wound and injuries
▪ Learn CPR (Chain of survival)
Entry Requirement/ Size of Class Public with any disciplines or background. Size of class that consist of 15-30 participants are highly recommended
Training Module Module 1: First Aid Principles
Module 2: Safety prevention at home/work
Module 3: Type of wounds (shock, bleeding, fracture, burn)
Module 4: CPR (Chain of Survival) and Choking
Training Assessment Participant should passed at least 60% from the assessment test which include,
▪ Theory (written test)
▪ Practical (CPR)
Certification I. Participant who completed the training program will be issued “Certificate of Attendance” by Malaysia Red Crescent Kuala Lumpur (HRDF Claimable)
II. Participant who completed the training program and passed the training assessment will be issued “Certificate of Completion” by Malaysia Red Crescent Society (MRCS)
Training charges RM200 per participant, the charges includes,
▪ Certificate processing fees (Certificate of Attendance and Certificate of Completion)
▪ Training materials for teaching purposes (printed teaching note, CPR dummy, and etc.)
▪ Each participant will be provided with one triangular bandage

▪ Practice bandage and emergency lifting

Module 4: Bandage and dressing
Module 5: Shock (renjatan)
Module 6: Basic patient assessment
Module 7: Musculoskeletal injuries (include Head and spinal injuries)
Module 8: Burns and scald
Module 9: CPR (Chain of Survival)
Module 10: Emergency lifting/carry techniques
Training Assessment Participant should passed at least 60% from the assessment test which include,
▪ Theory (written test)
▪ Practical (CPR dan bandage)
Certification I. Participant who completed the training program will be issued “Certificate of Attendance” by Malaysia Red Crescent Kuala Lumpur (HRDF Claimable)
II. Participant who completed the training program and passed the training assessment will be issued “Certificate of Completion” by Malaysia Red Crescent Society (MRCS)
Training charges Training charges RM300 per participant, the charges includes,
▪ Certificate processing fees (Certificate of Attendance and Certificate of Completion) ▪ Training materials for teaching purposes (printed teaching note, CPR dummy, spinal board, stretcher and etc.)
▪ Each participant will be provided with one triangular bandage
This module is particularly designed for candidate who has completed and passed the “Basic First Aid, CPR and AED” training (Refer Training Package B) which consists 20 hours (3 days training) of training modules with competency examination at the end of the training program
Objective to the Training Upon completion of the training, participants will be able to:
▪ Understand the first aid principle
▪ Conduct patient assessment and triage management
▪ Recognize different common types of wound and injuries
▪ Handle emergency medical cases
▪ Practice bandage and emergency lifting
▪ Practice CPR (Chain of survival)
Entry Requirement/ Size of Class Entry Requirement/ Size of Class Participant who has completed and passed “Basic First Aid and CPR” certification. Size of class that consist of 15-30 participants are highly recommended

Module 3: Triage and Primary & secondary patient assessment
Module 4: Blood circulation system
Module 5: Respiratory system
Module 6: Wound management (shock, bleeding, fracture, spinal injuries, burns and scald)
Module 7: Bandage and dressing
Module 8: Emergency medicine management (heart attack, asthma, diabetes, food poisoning, epilepsy, etc.)
Module 9: CPR (Chain of Survival )
Module 10: Emergency lifting/carry
techniques
Training Assessment Participant should passed at least 60% from the assessment test which include,
▪ Theory (written test)
▪ Practical (CPR dan bandage)

▪ Each participant will be provided with one triangular bandage

TRAINING PLAN

BSMMKL develops the training program that is tailored to the training needs assessment based on corporate requirements. We would customize the plan to the employees and the methods that will be most successful for each group. Training can be disruptive to a business, so we ensure that our plan works within the scheduling needs of your company. We will choose training techniques and scheduling that will have the least amount of impact on your day-to-day operations.

EVALUATION

After the training program is completed, we would work with individual corporate to evaluate the success of the training for the employees. Our training is designed to have quantifiable success that can be built upon, and we rely on the client’s honest feedback to further develop training for their employees. Once the evaluation has been completed, we can build upon the competed training program and identify areas for further education. Depending on the needs of the individual corporate, continuous education can be scheduled at regular intervals to address other skills in need of development Occupational Health and Safety (OSH) and Emergency Response Team (ERT) in the organization.

TRAINING ORDER AND PAYMENT

Training order shall be placed no later than 35 days from the proposed training date to BSMMKL with a confirmed Purchase Order (PO). The total training fees shall make payable to BSMMKL at least one-month (1 month) after training has conducted to the following:

CANCELATION

In the event of a last minutes (48 hours before the training-day) cancellation, individual corporate will forfeit 25% of the total training fees. If training sessions are canceled 14 days or more in advance, individual corporate forfeits 10% of the total fees.
